Ice Brady, 2 Other UConn Teammates React to ‘Nervous’ Azzi Fudd’s China Trip With Steph Curry

Azzi Fudd spent thousands of miles away from campus last week, but her UConn teammates followed every move. The Huskies’ guard and 2025 Final Four Most Outstanding Player joined Steph Curry on the World Curry Tour in China, stepping into a basketball spotlight that few college athletes ever get.

How Did Azzi Fudd’s World Curry Tour Shift UConn’s Offseason?

Ice Brady, UConn’s forward, said the experience was big for the group. Fudd told Brady she was “nervous” for the long flight and the trip overseas, but her teammates only saw opportunity. They knew most college players never got this kind of invitation.

Curry’s 2025 Curry Brand World Tour hit Chongqing, China, with Curry Camp and the debut of Curry Con from Aug. 18-20. The event brought out fans, players, and all the energy of global basketball culture. Fudd stood out alongside Curry and Seth Curry, taking in a week that mixed training, clinics, and huge crowds.

Before taking off, Fudd opened up about her nerves on her YouTube channel, Fudd Around and Out:

“I’m excited. I’m a little nervous for this flight,” she said. “This wasn’t planned until like a little bit ago. So, when I left campus, I left my iPad on campus cuz I was like, ‘Oh, I’m not going to need it… I’m currently iPadless. Going to be on like a 12 plus hour flight. And so, I’m a little nervous for how this is going to go.’”

Once in China, Fudd shared moments from the tour on Instagram. Her UConn teammates didn’t miss a beat in the comments, cheering her on from home.

Brady kept it simple: “azzi ur so cool.” Guard Kamorea “KK” Arnold wrote, “YOU BETTA GO GIRLLLL.” Freshman Kayleigh Heckel chimed in with, “yesssss azzzzz,” making sure everyone knew the team was watching — and loving it.

Steph Curry also soaked in the scene. After day one, he posted, “Chongqing, you showed out. 🔥

“Day 1 of the Curry Brand China Tour was packed with Curry Camp, Curry Con, and so many moments in between. The fans brought incredible energy from the jump, and getting to connect with city executives gave us a deeper look at what makes this place so special.”

The World Tour rolls on across Asia and the United States, but that first stop in Chongqing changed things for Fudd. The UConn star shared the court with Curry and Seth Curry, adding another significant experience to her career. Meanwhile, her teammates back in Connecticut watched — and celebrated — every step.
