Round Rock, Texas (KXAN) – McNeil MAVERICKS is a talented team heading to a 2025 campaign with some serious excitement.
“I will not lie, I couldn’t sleep,” said Ayan Taylor, the wide recipient of McKenil, before the first practice. “He was scratching in the inputs like,” I got this field. “I had to take some meters to sleep.”
Taylor and MAVERICKS infiltrated the qualifiers last year in a difficult area of 6A Division II VandeGrift VIPERS.
McNeil has a veteran under the center that helped MAVS to make the post -season stage in the past two seasons, after a season with no victory in the region in 2022.
“Be in the second year and the junior year, we performed the qualifiers,” said Jadon Sloz, Senior McKenil team. “You definitely don’t want to let it down and do not meet the same expectation.”
Marax Scott Hermes, who attracts the perfect comparison from some of his players.
“He is the main coach that everyone wants,” said Michael Jones, chief coach of McKenil. “It is basically like Nick Saban if we compare … he puts the tone every day.”
Hermes said: “I quote a lot of Nick Saban’s quotes.” “I am talking a lot about him. Obviously, he is a great coach. I think he did more to prepare his comrades more than anyone.”
Mackeel opens the season on August 28 against Weiss.
