Humpback whale migration returns to Sonoma coastline

(Crohn) – Hadda whales. More than 150 gentle ocean giants were calculated by volunteer natural scientists at Bodega Head, according to Sonoma Land Trust.

“It is time of the year: the summer migration of humpback whales along the Sonoma coast,” she wrote.

Stones are one of the easiest types of whales to be discovered in the sea because they are breach and feeding. In addition to dramatic jump and lung, humpbacks will slap their tails and camels on the surface, creating large spots.

Whales are pulled into the coast of Sonoma province because unique ocean science in the region creates a group of cold -rich nutrient water from depth. Support plankton, which nourishes anchovy and krill – a border feast.

“We are lucky here in Sonoma Province, you can see them from gardens like Bodega Head, Guallaa Point Regional Park, Stillwateer Cove, and Fort Ross.

According to The Monterey Bay Aquarium, Al -Hadba migrates thousands of miles away every year, as it travels from the summer feeding land off the coast of California to the winter reproductive water near the equator.

“The maximum contains more sophisticated songs of any type of whale. Their calls to miles below the sea bears,” Business Administration wrote.
