When the Miami Dolphins learned that wide receiver Tyreek Hill will be gone for the rest of the 2025 NFL season due to a dislocated left knee, thoughts and prayers were sent his way.
Yet the Dolphins now have to go forward without “Cheetah” hitting the field and making clutch catches. He was having an awesome night on Monday night against the New York Jets, catching six passes for 67 yards. Hill even flashed some of his well-known speed after making catches and turning upfield.
Now, the concerns are around Hill’s dislocated knee and how will the recovery process go.
How Long Will Tyreek Hill Be Out Of Action?
A number of well-known medical experts headed out to X and posted some thoughts on what the immediate future looks like for Hill. Dr. Jesse Morse put up a four-minute-plus video that offered his insights into the Hill recovery period.

Also, Dr. David Chao, who makes appearances on NFL Network shows and on SiriusXM NFL Channel broadcasts, had his own thoughts on what Hill’s future looks like after leaving the game.

Chao also posted another video on X where he gave a further description of Hill’s immediate future. “Tyreek Hill suffered a severe knee dislocation, which is considered a true orthopedic emergency,” Chao wrote.
“This type of injury can damage the artery and stretch the nerve — hopefully that is not the case here. That risk is why he was immediately taken to the hospital.”

It looks like the recovery period will be a long one for Hill. The Dolphins will make sure that he gets the best care possible now and when he’s rehabbing his knee injury.
