A suspect was arrested for a collision killing an elderly woman and her dog in Bakuima.
The suspect was identified as Marquis, 31, from Bakuima, according to the Los Angeles Police Administration.
On August 4, the victim was walking with her dog and was on the road when a driver shocked them near the streets of Osborne and Hadon around 8:10 pm
The driver did not stop checking the victim and soon. The woman announced her death at the scene by the paramedics. She was only identified as a woman in the mid -seventies. Her dog was severely wounded and later died of injuries.
Investigators identified Marquis as the main suspect and on August 5, he was arrested on charges of a felony that caused death. It is held on bail of $ 30,000.
“Car drivers are reminded that if they are engaged in a collision, they must withdraw and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and stay at the scene to get to know themselves,” said LAPD officials. “The pedestrians are also reminded of using crossed passages when crossing the streets and doing it in a safe way so that they do not pose a danger to the vehicles.”
