The Santa Barbara Sharif Provincial Office said that a potential dangerous situation at the Regetiti High School was quickly dissolved on Monday when the school resource deputy confiscated a pistol loaded by a student.
The accident started at approximately 1:30 pm, when school staff told SRD Reynoso that a male student might smoke marijuana in the bathroom. When the deputy faced the student, he refused to comply and tried to get away. This was followed by a conflict, during which SRD Reynoso was slightly injured, including cutting on his finger and eroding him on his ou.
During the arrest process, the deputies discovered many vapes marijuana and a 0.22 cache in the student’s backpack. The student, who was not identified, was transferred to a local hospital for medical clearance before he was booked in the juvenile hall in Santa Maria.
He is now accusations, including having a firearm on school, resisting detention, and possession of marijuana on school ground by a minor.
The Sharif Office attributed the quick response to each of the school principals and a deputy inside the campus, with a possible tragic result.
“Thanks to the rapid coordination between school staff and SRD Reynoso, the firearm was safely confiscated before using it,” Santa Barbara Provincial Office said in a press statement.
