Police and firefighters are at the scene of a shooting that injured several people Sunday night in the Winnetka neighborhood in the west-central San Fernando Valley.
Details are limited and it’s unclear exactly what happened, but officers with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Topanga Division responded to the area of Saticoy Street and Oso Street at approximately 9:40 p.m.
Initial information, although unconfirmed, suggests that up to four men were shot dead.
There are also unconfirmed reports that the incident may have been a drive-by shooting with three or four suspects in a white sedan, who fled the scene heading east in Saticoi.
Aerial footage of the scene captured by Sky5 showed a heavy presence of police and firefighters, along with crowds of onlookers. Police cordoned off part of the area during the investigation.
It is unclear how many people were taken to hospital, and their conditions were not immediately available.
Traffic on Saticoy Street was closed to traffic in both directions while authorities were at the scene.
No further information was provided.
