One of the most shocking moments on The Valley: Persian Style came after the Palm Springs trip, when Sky Askari stormed off following a tense dinner that left the cast stunned. On camera, the blowup seemed to center around Sky’s constant complaints about living in the Valley — something she’s made clear all season she wants to escape.
But according to Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi, viewers didn’t see the full story.
Appearing on the AllAboutTRH podcast with Roxanne and Shantel, GG revealed there was far more happening behind the scenes leading up to that explosion.
She explained the group had spent the entire day cleaning and doing chores at the rental before finally sitting down to relax with wine. That’s when things turned.
“So she walks by me with a glass cup and she goes, ‘Oh you’re drinking out of a plastic cup. You’re so cheap,’ and she walks off,” GG said. “And I’m like, what the f*** just happened?”
GG says tensions were already brewing because Mercedes “MJ” Javid had been working as Sky’s real estate agent while Sky talked about moving to Bel Air. According to GG, MJ had invested months of time into the process — stepping away from her family and work — only to realize the financial situation didn’t match what Sky had been presenting.
“There was a lot of conversation between Mercedes and her,” GG explained. “What people didn’t know is MJ was doing real estate for her… and she sees they don’t have that. So she was very offended that for a couple of months Sky had her away from her job, away from her son… I’m just getting heated for my friend.”
GG says the dinner spiraled from there, with Sky allegedly insulting multiple cast members.
“She’s insulting Tanin. She’s assaulting Reza, telling him to get the f*** out of her face. I think when I saw that, I was like, oh it’s a wrap.”
What makes GG’s version so surprising is that the show paints a very different picture, one where Sky appears financially ready and determined to leave the Valley behind.
According to GG, the reality off camera was much messier.
