Girvassi says he walks under the ATX tower often and will keep his eyes directed towards the sky.
“We live in a world in which you are going on the street and you can hit it with a car. I am never looking to think about the things that fall, so definitely something I feel a little tension,” said Girfasy.
Kxan contacted Ryan companies asking about the last incident on Monday and what they are doing to ensure people’s safety. Below is a statement we received from the company:

We can confirm that no injuries were caused by this accident.

KXAN has also arrived in the city to find out what they are doing to solve the problem. We also wanted to know whether the company is facing any fines due to the ongoing issues. The city sent us this statement:
“The Ministry of Development Services is very concerned about the Monday incident that involves the decline in glass on 321 W. 6th Street, in the wake of many similar incidents this year. We are working closely with the contractor, who has improved safety for the protection of societies, and continues to investigate the causes in all modern incidents.

KXAN continued a question, “What are the reinforced measures that your section indicates? Do you have any examples? Do you know what is the reason for these glass panels? Can the company face any fines?”
The city replied, “We recommend communicating with the contractor, who can speak in more detail about the safety measures they put in place and their current investigation in the case.”
Ryan companies told us that they installed a covered corridor.
KXAN continued again to the city’s question, “Can the company face fines or penalties from the city?”
The city responded in an email, saying: “We still make all options.”
“I am really disturbed and frankly because this is still happening,” said Zo Qadri, a member of the council, who represents the center of Austin. “There must be accountability, our office plans to talk to people in the city, if something can be done from managers that ends wonderfully, but if that requires a procedure from the council, we will consider presenting something forward.”
The statement shows that the building will be 55 stories and includes residential spaces, offices, retail and financial trade.
KXAN was previously reported on the falling glass panels from this construction site in June and in two separate cases in March. The Austin Development Services Department (DSD) previously said that the strong winds most likely caused one of these incidents. The first respondents closed the streets to clean the broken glass, and no injuries were reported in March.
