Gizelle Bryant, a familiar face from The Real Housewives of Potomac, is once again under scrutiny, and this time, it’s Real Housewives of Dubai star Caroline Brooks adding to the chorus.
Recent comments from Brooks lend weight to the growing reputation that Gizelle may be one of the least approachable personalities in the Housewives franchise.
The latest wave of criticism follows a similar account from Real Housewives of Miami’s Adriana de Moura. During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen asked Adriana to name the rudest Housewife she had ever met. Without hesitation, Adriana named Gizelle.
She recounted an awkward moment when they shared a ride together and she took the front seat, a decision Gizelle apparently didn’t take well. “We were at BravoCon here in New York and we were sharing a car. Oh, she was so rude,” de Moura told Cohen. “She was giving me sass because I got the front seat. She came in second, so she had to sit in the back. She wasn’t happy about that.”
Now Caroline Brooks has echoed those same sentiments. As captured by The Bravo Shaderoom, Brooks didn’t hold back: “She is rude! She yelled at me in front of my mom at Bravocon because I said she’s mixed race. I didn’t know she claimed to be completely African American.”
Brooks went on to explain that she was unfamiliar with Gizelle’s background or her show: “I didn’t know her or watch her show, I just say that she’s clearly bi-racial or multiracial, and I said ‘ah yes, the mixed race lady from Potomac.’” Interestingly, she said she made similar comments about Robyn Dixon, Gizelle’s longtime friend and co-star, who reacted very differently.

“I said the same things about Robyn, and she was super nice. It didn’t bother her as much. She just explained to me that growing up, people would say that, and it was problematic for them for a lot of reasons, and they do identify as Black. I said ok, I understand and moved on.”
The interaction with Gizelle, however, was far more tense. “But Gizelle went crazy, and my mom had to stand between us. She’s RUDE,” Brooks wrote. She even took it a step further, questioning Gizelle’s response to her identity: “I would love to see her percentage of African DNA vs European if she’s willing to do a little test.”
To top it off, Gizelle’s former co-star Mia Thornton backed up the criticism. In response to Adriana’s story, Mia simply commented, “Facts.”
With three Housewives from three different cities sharing negative encounters with Gizelle Bryant, fans are now left wondering, is this just coincidence, or is there more to the story?
