French soccer union blasts Club World Cup over 'massacre' of player welfare

PARIS (AP) – The Union of Professional Football Players in France launched a fragile attack on the club on Sunday, saying that “it is necessary to stop this massacre” amid continuous concerns about the burden of the work of the extremist players.

UNFP also accused FIFA Gianni Infantino, of living “in an ivory tower” by ignoring crowded calendars on players all over the world.

“The situation does not contradict any person, with the exception of, of course, Gianni Infantino and his places. From the latter of his ivory toward, which is walking all over the world, the FIFA president does not bother the fate kept by the international calendar for prominent players in the game,” FIFA President said in a statement early on Sunday morning. “The Worldo’s Club Club, to the point of tampering, is that it is necessary to stop this massacre game. It turns the physical and mental health of the players for a few other dollars.”

The UNFP statement said that the club’s World Cup comes at the end of a already exhausting season, and thus ignores “the collective negotiation agreements (which) almost everywhere, provides an unpopy period for three weeks of comfort for football players between two seasons.”

FIFA was approached to comment by Associated Press.

Days before the start of the club’s World Cup for a month, which ends on July 13, football presidents faced renewed calls to protect the players due to the increasing fears of injuries and exhaustion.

The newly expanded championship, which included 32 of the best teams in the world, has faced a decline since FIFA announced that it would add to a really saturated calendar. The tournament will be played every four years, it is located between the World Cup for men, the European Championship and the Copa America.

Going on the backdrop of legal challenges in Europe, and hitting threats and repeated interests on the mental and physical care of players due to many games.

UNFP added: “UNFP, such as FIFPRO and FIFPROUUPE, were protesting for years against the sharp increase in work burdens.” “But also against the repercussions of local football in the calendar that FIFA is still alone in construction today.”

Last September, Manchester City midfielder Rodri suffered a severe knee injury after saying that the players were about to strike excessive work burden.

No comfort for PSG

Paris Saint -Germain, the European Champions League winner, is one of the largest aspects of the club’s World Cup.

After winning the Champions League on May 31, main players in Paris Saint -Germain, such as Osman Dembele and Diserir Diwi, played with France and then went to the United States shortly after the club’s World Cup.

Some French clubs have already resumed training for the next Ligue 1 season, which starts in mid -August, while others start next week. PSG could not pushed it back in the Ligue 1 season.

“We do not see how or why the Parisians should not benefit from the three weeks of the full comfort they are entitled to obtain,” said UNFP, adding that the number of additional games for players in Paris Saint -Germain can affect the national team in early September.

UNFP said before concluding: “A delay in the preparation that should worry (France coach) Didier Deschamps two qualified matches for the 2026 World Cup.” “What do you say, Mr. Infantino?”

FIFA hopes that the club’s football event will be what the International FIFA World Cup and establish itself as one of the largest and richest championships in sports.

The European teams have recently been the old version of the club’s World Cup, which has been played annually, recently. The Brazilian team alone Corinth broke the victory in Europe 17 years ago.
