A week after his loss, Samuel was found in a village near the Himalayas – he was wounded and wounded but alive.
“It is sad that he felt that no one was looking for, and that he was alone, but of course, we were,” she told Samuel Natasha Crohn 4.
Natasha says that on June 6, Samuel was supposed to conclude a two -day rise with Frend, who returned a little early. Samuel continued on the road, which is expected to end after about 40 minutes. But he is no longer.
He informed his long -distance partner, missing two days later, which led to a huge search and rescue operation.
“He could see the helicopter, but it was very far away,” Natasha said. “He could see the followers along the corridor, but they were very far away, and he could see a city at a distance, so he continued to walk towards that city along the river. He gave himself an encouragement every ten steps, such as continuing.”
Indian, Nepalese and Israeli teams have searched for Samuel – a dual citizen from the United States and Israel, but he has lived in India over the past eight months.
He later explained that he fell and his injuries were very severe, but he persevered.
“His wrist is broken, an ankle, broken, he has bruises on the knee, helped him, and his nose is broken, and he walked for nine days without any food or water and eating insects all the way,” Natasha said.
His friends and family are grateful, but Samuel is now facing a long way to recover.
“We are still hurting, and I will not be happy until he is in my arms,” Natasha said.
