Fort Lupton man redoing garden after hail storm destroys vegetables

Denver (KDVR) – A man from Fort Loubton is still in shock, 24 hours after his house was severely rain and his garden destroyed.

Brian Martila said he could not believe what he saw while the storm was rolling over his house on Wednesday, he surprised that the weather moved from sunny to the most rainy that he saw in that area only in moments.

Within two years of living in Fortune, he said he had not seen a storm like this.

“It was largely uncompromising,” said Martila.

What started on a sunny day turned into chaos in a moment. It started with rain, which is the rain scale that filled two inchs in what he said was only about 30 minutes.

“I mean, it was absolute rain. It was very bad,” he said.

The water was immersed in his garage in a video that Martila seized, and clay and debris are still behind the next day. But the rain was not the only issue.

“We looked at the window and the size of the peas was only the size of the peas,” said Martila.

It has many ducks and chicken, and they all went to the lid under the chairs in the front yard.

“The duck was running for their lives,” said Martila. “I mean, one of the big stone is likely to come out quite easily.”

And that Barma also fell into his garden in the foreground.

Martila said: “We have radish, our islands, lettuce, onions.” “Garlic, tomato and pepper there.”

All of them, destroy them. What made the clay worse, planned to sell these vegetables in a roadside position for the first time this year.

Despite the loss, Martella plans to grow again, but this little agricultural life may have to wait another year.

“I don’t know if he will return again while we want it,” said Martila.

Despite the damage to the garden, Martella is grateful because his home and the tools in his mirror that he uses for welding work were not harmful.
