ASAN (KXAN) – A former assistant director in public schools at IDEA was arrested on Monday and was charged after allegations of inappropriate relationship with a former student.
According to the court records, Chunterish Jereimine Johnson, 29, was accused of an incorrect relationship between the teacher/student and online demand from small crimes.
KXan has arrived at Johnson’s lawyer. This article will be updated if a statement is submitted.
IDEA public schools said they were aware of the arrest and that the employee was no longer working with IDEA.
“We are working in cooperation with law enforcement and taking appropriate measures in accordance with the policy of law and network,” said IDEA.
According to Johnson’s detention, on September 11, Austin police officers responded to IDEA PUBLIC CHARER in 1438 Yager Lane after the current students reported “something bothering them” to employees.
The written testimony said that the students showed the employee a video of the text messages sent between a former student and Johnson who was sexually in nature, so the head of the school called him 911.
According to court documents, the police collected screenshots of the text messages sent between the former student and Johnson.
