Former Fort Carson soldier still facing deportation after being brought back to Colorado

Colorado Springs (KXRM) – Jose Parko was once in a combat costume in the United States because he served two rounds in Iraq to the army. Now, Parko sits in a migration and customs enforcement facility, and his loved ones are concerned and afraid of his future.

“This may be one of the most terrifying things in my life, because you have no idea what is happening,” said Tia Parco, the wife of Jose Parko.

While serving in the army, Barco tried to apply for American citizenship in 2006, but his papers somehow did not make their way. In January, Parko was released from prison after spending 15 years to attempted murder in 2009.

After his release from Colorado Prison, Parco was immediately transferred by ICE and sent to Aurora. From there, Barco was in a state of transfer from one facility to another.

The US government has tried to return him on a trip to Venezuela since Parko obtained the birth certificate of Venezuelan. Tia Barko Fox21 told Venezuela’s relations with Parko’s father to flee to the country from Cuba.

Parko was not transferred by the Venezuelan government and was instead to Honduras before returning it to the United States and ended in Aurora again. Through the process of transferring it to different countries, Tia Barcou said she was in the dark all the time.

“I had not known for nearly 18 hours that he was rejected when he returned to Arlington, he was placed in a contract cell and they were not allowed to contact anyone for 12 hours,” said Tia Barrow.

The Barco story gained attention throughout Colorado, including Anna Stout, a member of the city council at Grand Junction. Once I learned his story, Strot contacted various contacts on LinkedIn to communicate with the family and help in any possible way.

“It just broke me that I understand that we have someone in our country, who fought for our country, who bleed for our country, and is now facing removal,” Strot said.

When it comes to illegal immigrants who were convicted of a crime, the Trump administration argued that these immigrants should be deported.

“We will continue to arrest public safety threats, and national security threats will continue to be deported from the United States.”

Since Barco does not have American citizenship, TIA, Anna and a team of lawyers are working to take it out by looking at any possible path, but Stout tells Fox21 news that it does not seem promising.

Stout said: “There is no real clear path at this stage because this is an unprecedented situation that there is an old American warrior who was fighting for the sake of our country.”

Another complex factor in Parko’s position is an attempt to condemn the killing, as it prevented him from obtaining American citizenship. Barrow will have to pardon the ruler in order to re -apply for citizenship.

At the present time, Tia Parko and the rest of the family are doing their power to reduce the mind of Barko, where they are fighting to get him out of the reservation and in the treatment they need for the outskirts

“It is really difficult to give a broken and mentally tired encouragement,” said Tia Barko.
