Felon found with gun, narcotics in Santa Rosa traffic stop

((Crohn– A resident of Valigo and a condemned criminal driving his car were found with a private weapon and drugs early Sunday morning, according to the authorities.

The Santa Rosa Police Administration said that the officers had withdrawn a vehicle without licensing plates at about 1:05 am, the officers said they had noticed “in an ordinary show” containers of marijuana.

According to the police, the driver told the authorities that he had a fiery weapon under his seat. The officers later select the P80 later, unregistered, and 9 mm P80 from the private sector and cocaine, the suspected crack.

Police said they discovered that the driver, known as Tabari Merrit, a resident of Valleyo, is a convicted criminal who is forbidden to possess firearms and ammunition.

Merit, 45, was arrested and seized in Sonoma County Prison, where the police said he had confessed to hiding additional drugs for his person.

He was booked in prison on the following charges:

  • Holding a firearm in public places
  • Carry a hidden firearm in a car
  • Holding a firearm by a banned person
  • Holding live ammunition by a banned person
  • Obtained a controlled substance while it is armed with a firearm
  • Holding a controlled substance
