FBI was looking into social posts in months before Evergreen High School shooting

Denver (KDVR) – The FBI says that in the months before the shooting at Evergern Secondary School, the agency was looking into a social media account discussed the planning planning planning.

The agency said: “In July 2025, the FBI opened an assessment of the social media account user whose identity was not unknown, which was discussing mass shooting planning with unlimited threats,” the agency said.

On September 10, a 16 -year -old student opened fire on two other students at school. The shooter died from his wounds, who were shot in a hospital in that evening, and one of the two victims has been identified since then.

On Friday, the Anti -defamation Association issued a report showing what it says was an online shooter. The organization found that he had published a greeting to other collectors, including a homemade T -shirt that one of them was worn by one of the colombin’s high school.

The FBI said that his work, which is looking for a social media account that has published threats that lasted until the day of the shooting.

“We have continued to work this investigation into the evaluation to determine the name and location of the user until September 10, 2025. During the investigation of the evaluation, the identity of the account user remained unknown, and therefore there was no possible reason for arrest or additional law enforcement procedures at the federal level,” FBI told Fox31.
