Officials confirmed that the driver in a fatal blow was arrested after returning to the crime site in Los Angeles.
At approximately 1:10 am on May 2, according to LAPD, one of the pedestrians crossed Sherman Way, east of Istiklal Street directly, when Mercedes Benz hit him.
The victim was only identified as a man in his sixties.
After hitting the victim, LAPD said that the driver continued east on Sherman Road, failed to stop, identify identification, or provide assistance – as required by law.
The paramedics were extinguished on the scene and the dead man announced. LAPD said his name is blocked pending the relative notification.
After that, while the investigators were actively conducting their investigation, the rapid driver returned to the scene.
Details are limited, but the police said that he was interviewed and defined as Marfar Edgardo Pinda, 29, a resident of Northdge and Mercedes-Benz driver Gle53 2023.
Pinida was arrested and seized at Lapd Van Nuys Prison for a felony and running.
“The drivers of cars are reminded that if they are involved in a collision, they must withdraw and stop as soon as it is safe, notifying emergency services, and staying at the scene of the accident to determine their identity,” the police said in a statement.
