(Kron)-Two families were displaced due to a three-arms house fire on 700 masses of Madonna Drive in Suisun on Sunday evening.
The Swiss Ministry of Fire said that the house fire broke out near a shed around 6:40 pm and was dangerously burning near the nearby houses. The Broban tank explosion was reported shortly after and sent more firefighters to the fire.
“Upon arrival, the fire crews faced great smoke and fire threatening two housing houses on both sides of the fire,” said the Seuson City Fire Department. “… due to the increase in wind speeds, ranging from 10 and 15 miles per hour, the fire quickly intensified, forcing the firefighters to take a defensive strategy.”
The fire spread to the attic from a nearby house and then spread to another. All nearby residents were evacuated safely before the firefighters arrived at the scene.
Nearly 30 firefighters from the Fairfield Fire Department, the TRVIS Air Force, the VACAVILLE City Fire Department, and Filejo Fire Department worked to extinguish the fire. Firefighters managed to enter the fire under control and prevent them from spreading to more houses within 30 minutes to reach the scene.
Brad Lopez, the head of the Seuson City fire, said that both councils suffered severe damage. Families were displaced from every home. However, no one was hit by fire.
Lopez said: “This was a rapid movement fire intensively on wind, near combustible materials and nearby structures,” said Lopez. “Thanks to the coordinated efforts of multiple agencies, we were able to contain the fire quickly, and most importantly, to ensure that all the population is evacuated without injury.”
Emergency services work with local organizations to grant families temporary housing. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
