Ex-San Mateo summer camp employee convicted of child molestation

(Crohn) – Girls Club Club of Girls, who is alleged to be preying on young boys in a summer camp in 2023, is now a decade.

Kevin Grandos-Illizald, 27, from Redwood, told the police that he was addicted to children’s pornography, according to public prosecutors. On Friday, he defended a “no competition” for the criminal harassment of children. Prosecutors said that the victims were children between the ages of 7 and 8.

Before his arrest in June 2023, Granados-Ilizalde worked as an assistant site manager in a summer camp held at Fiesta Gardens International in San Matteo. The boys and girls club was in the free summer camp on the peninsula for students between kindergarten and fifth grade.

Mugshot from Kevin Granados-Ilizalde was provided by the San Matteo Police Department.

Prosecutors said that Grandos-Illizaldi took an 8-year-old boy in the bathroom, ordered the boy to take off his clothes, and took pictures of the boy’s body. In another incident, Granados-Ilizalde repeated the same crime against a 7-year-old boy in the bathroom.

After 8 years old told his mother what happened, she called the police. Investigators said they found porn videos containing children on Granados-Lelizalde.

On Friday, Granados-Ilizalde entered into a deal with a San Matteo district judge in exchange for a 10-year prison sentence, according to the Prosecutor’s Office. Public prosecutors sought the prison sentence for 12 years.

The convicted child will be held in prison without sponsorship until the hearing of the verdict on July 14.
