Ex-Ohio State president may have given podcaster cozy on-campus office: reports

Perhaps one of the benefits of a Columbus podcaster’s alleged “inappropriate relationship” with former Ohio State President Ted Carter was free office space on campus.

An Ohio State University spokesperson confirmed Tuesday that school officials are investigating an LLC registered in the campus building of Chrysanthi Vlachos, host of “The Callout Podcast,” where Carter, who resigned Monday, has appeared frequently since 2024.

“Vet Earn USA LLC’s business filing is part of the university’s investigation into public resources,” OSU chief spokesman Benjamin Johnson told The Post in a statement.

Records show the company was last registered as Vlachos at the same Columbus address where WOSU Public Media is headquartered — a building said to be owned by the university — on Dec. 20.

The 53,000-square-foot building will open in 2021 with “state-of-the-art” TV and radio studios, content production areas, a media learning lab and collaborative work spaces, according to Wusoo website.

It is not clear what, if any, business Vlachos conducted outside the building. WOSU, a Columbus public radio station and a department of the university, did not immediately respond to inquiries.

The surprise revelation marks the first time an OSU official has publicly addressed reports that Vlachos may have been the woman whom Carter, 66, admitted to helping in her business by providing public resources and “inappropriate access” to university leadership.

Just hours after news of Carter’s resignation broke Monday, the “Callout” sponsor, JobsOhio, cited the cozy relationship between Vlachos and Carter as “possibly related” to his abrupt departure from the university.

“JobsOhio is aware that Ted Carter resigned this morning as president of The Ohio State University and that this situation may be related to a relationship between him and the host of a veterans podcast, which we have sponsored,” the economic development group said in a statement.

Carter — who has been married for nearly 45 years to his wife, Linda — has been a self-described “frequent traveler” on his veteran-focused Vlachos podcast since 2024.

Social media posts revealed that the disgraced Ohio State University president traveled to attend events she hosted and sponsored.
