Elbert, COLO (KDVR) – Three candidates for the Elizabeth School Council on Tuesday woke up to an annoying scene: the signs of their campaign were sabotage.
David Fletcher, the current member of the school’s board of directors and one of the candidates who were distorted, said he was not surprised by the view of the damage. The signs, which were shared with two other conservative candidates, were characterized by a sasten early on Tuesday morning.
“I think they are just some people full of hatred,” said Fletcher. “Who would have known that I would only draw Kanazia to run for the school council?”
Fletcher says that tensions in the local political scene have increased that the continuous battle of the province with the American Civil Liberties Union on the books that it tried to remove from school libraries.
While some may differ with politics, Fleischer said that the symbols of hatred were an unacceptable response.
“They did all this in the death of the night like the cowards are.” “There is no speech in that. They do not want a speech anyway.”
While sabotage was annoying, Fletcher said that his belief in society was quickly restored when the neighbors appeared to help clean the signs.
“When people saw the signs had been distorted, there were others trying to clean them for us.” “This is the type of society in which we live.”
Fletcher also indicated that he and his team are planning to clean the remaining signs and put them on the roads before the elections.
The three candidates also requested the Sharif Office of Elbert Province to investigate the accident.
