San Jose, California (Crohn) – A video clip appears on the weekend three dogs walking without a wheel – and sometimes on the road – in San Jose. Courtney Vero says she was walking with her husband when they came to a disturbing scene.
Vero says she has just left her job at the center of San Jose Animal City because constant negligence and well -known and overcrowded was too much. But at this moment, she says she couldn’t get away.
She managed to seize Knight, who was bleeding from his leg, to a veterinarian. Another dog, a black and white indicator, was beaten and was later killed. According to Viro, animal control reached the scene 13 hours after the dog was injured.
The man and his other dog were not found.
“It made me feel very frustrated,” says Vero. “I wanted the dog to be safe, and I knew he was unsafe hours before. I know that the field operations were short employees and had one person apparently.”
Rebecca Davis Matthews also used to work in the shelter, and she may document long -term issues with animal services in the city for several months.
“The shelter faces problems in many areas, and this highlights that they have problems with field services,” says Davis Matiz.
In December, a loud review appeared and dozens of recommendations were made for shelter.
I found negligence, an uncomplicated house, and overcrowding.
Luch is the director of the Public Works Department. They say they worked closely with the auditor and are determined to improve shelter and other services.
“I think the biggest challenge is the size of the things we need to work on in addition to caring for thousands of animals every year,” says Lucheer.
Regarding animal control, Loesch says they are doing everything they can – but it is promised to improve the shelter.
“They have to respond to 18 square miles from San Jose in addition to the other three cities,” says Lush.
The Ministry of Public Works says they hope to repair the issuance of the weekend soon, and they are only looking to employ another veterinarian to fill the gap.
