DJ Campbell shifting into leadership role as the Longhorns' offensive line comes together

Austin (KXAN) – It is not often that an offensive lines utter words, “I left food on my plate”, whether it is literal or metaphorical, but this is what DJ Campbell feels from Texas about entering his last season of eligibility.

What he meant was that he thought he could have performed better last year, and this year, he would prove that.

Texas coach Steve Sarkissian celebrates the right -wing attack man DJ Campbell, to the right, after the team beat Vanderbelt in a university football match in NCAA on Saturday, October 26, 2024, in Nashville, Tin.

“I am very tired, which led to the lack of basics in my game,” he said. “This is everything or nothing now.”

Campbell has the most experience in any Longhorns attack man with 30 start and 37 games. He has started in the right goalkeeper in every game over the past two seasons for Longhorns, and like many players, they work to become a more sound captain. With four men from last year in the US Football Association, Campbell is the logical man of the younger players to learn from him.

“I know what is necessary to win and what is necessary to lead it,” he said. “We build intimate friendship and bring young people along and try them.”

Kyle Floud, the main coach Steve Sarkissian and the offensive coach, is rebuilding the only beginner Campbell in his position. Trevor Goosby is scheduled to undertake his duties at LEFT Tackle and Cole Hutson takes over the center. Campbell said that both players were conscience in building the chemistry of the unit.

“Cole was doing a great job in this focused role,” said Camp. “I really don’t see much difference between Jake (Al -Kubra) and Cole.”

Longhorns Junior said that Quintrevion Wisner said that Campbell’s improvement was not limited to the stadium only.

“I saw the improvement not only as a player, but as a person,” Wesner said. “He is a dangerous, offensive man to look forward to whenever we need some juice. It is this engine to make us go.”

With an injury at the end of the season for Andre Kojo earlier in the training camp, the depth of the center is tested sooner than everyone was hoping. Campbell said that the association student Brandon Baker, a former 5 -star recruiter from Ma Matr de Secondary School in Santa Anna, California, reminds him of the phrase Kelvin Banks Junior.

“He has an unimaginable effort,” Campbell said. “Kelvin was obsessed with technology, and Baker reminds me of it. He does everything correctly.”

Campbell gives a lot of credit in the flood, which he calls a “great teacher”. Campbell said that the flood not only tells people what they should do and expect them to follow them.

“He is able to teach and make us learn already, know the reason and what we do,” Campbell said. “For men who do not play immediately, they can learn, then when their time comes, they will be ready.”
