DENVER (KDVR) — Unusually mild October weather continues this weekend for the metro area with Denver’s weather forecast remaining mostly dry, though a few rain showers are possible Saturday.
The outlook for the mountains will be much different with periodic rain and possibly snow expected at higher elevations, although significant accumulations are not expected. The University of Colorado Boulder football game should be dry on Saturday.
Tonight’s weather: dry and mild

The sky will be partly cloudy to partly cloudy during Friday night. Temperatures will remain unseasonably mild with lows only in the upper 40s to 50s around metro Denver, which is well above normal for this time of year. Rain will remain limited to high altitudes.
Weather tomorrow: Mostly dry

Other than some scattered showers in the morning and early afternoon, it will be dry for most of Saturday around metro Denver. The eastern Plains may see some rain in the early and mid-afternoon. Rain is likely in the mountains on Saturday. Highs will be in the lower to middle 70s.
LOOK FORWARD: Staying dry but turning breezy
Although October is a month of change, our weather pattern so far has been fairly monotonous. The weather will likely be drier Sunday with a passing cold front likely bringing gusty winds from the north-northwest at about 25 mph. Monday could be windier with winds near 35 mph and an isolated shower or two possible.

After briefly returning to the 60s on Monday and Tuesday, we will return to the 70s on Wednesday. Next week doesn’t look like it’s going to be warm, but there are signs that we could see temperatures return to seasonal readings in the low/mid 60s next weekend. The forecast is dry for next weekend at the moment, but we will have to keep an eye on a potential big change in the weather pattern.
