DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver weather forecast includes the first widespread frost across the metro tonight before southerly winds return Sunday, boosting our temperatures into the 70s Sunday afternoon.

The calm weather will continue with little precipitation, but the refreshing weather will continue to settle on Saturday evening before returning behind another cold front on Monday.
Tonight’s weather: clear and frosty

Tonight will be the coldest air in much of the Front Range and Plains since late spring as temperatures drop into the deep 30s with many in the 20s throughout the Plains. Make sure to cover your delicate plants if you want them to last a little longer this fall.
Weather tomorrow: sunny and warmer

Thanks to the return of southerly winds, high temperatures will rise into the middle and upper 70s, with temperatures rising more than 40 degrees from the first frost through Sunday morning. Plenty of sunlight will be found at the top and bottom of the front range.
This will be great weather for the Broncos game as temperatures stay in the 70s throughout the entire game with a light breeze at times.

Looking to the future: calm and seasonal
Although two cold fronts are sliding through Denver this week, much of it will be dry for the metro with only some rain/snow in the central and northern mountains Sunday night along the first front. This will bring our high temperatures back into the 60s for the first half of the week.

Sunshine will prevail until we arrive Thursday when low pressure passes to the south, bringing some mountain rain/snow and possibly rain to metro Denver. We’ll likely stay dry for now, but a noticeable increase in cloud cover will pass overhead on Thursday.
