Denise Richards is officially making moves, literally and legally. Over the weekend, the 54-year-old actress was spotted relocating from her $3.3 million Calabasas mansion, amid an increasingly messy divorce from husband Aaron Phypers.
Wearing a casual black T-shirt, sweatpants, and sneakers, Richards looked focused as she coordinated with movers to pack up both furniture and her impressive brood of rescue pets, 15 dogs in total. According to Los Angeles city rules, households are typically limited to three dogs over the age of four months, though the City Council is reportedly considering increasing that limit to four.
Court Orders and Restraining Drama
This move comes on the heels of a court ruling that gave Denise permission to re-enter the marital home to retrieve her belongings. According to official documents, she was allowed to collect “her mother’s and her own personal property, including the dogs.”
Aaron Phypers, meanwhile, has been ordered by the court to stay at least 100 yards away from the residence. That order stems from a temporary restraining order granted to Richards in July. The court emphasized that Phypers must “take no action which would interfere with [Denise’s] access” to the home.
She also alleged that Phypers took her iPhone and black MacBook without permission — items the court has now ordered him to return. If he doesn’t have them, he’s required to submit a declaration saying so.
Allegations and Accusations
The couple’s divorce has escalated far beyond a battle over property and pets. Aaron, who filed for divorce on July 7 — just three days after their reported separation , has accused Denise of having an affair with former special forces soldier Rudy Reyes.

In a letter he circulated to “family and close friends,” Aaron claimed that Reyes had sent Denise explicit images and videos, including “a graphic clip that showed him naked and pleasuring himself.” He said he first became suspicious in April, and that Denise promised to end the affair, only for him to discover she had lied about another tryst in May at a Hilton Garden Inn in Burbank.
The discovery allegedly led to a heated fight over the Fourth of July weekend, during which Aaron says Denise smashed his phone. Days later, she filed for a temporary restraining order and submitted a list of domestic abuse allegations — which Phypers has denied in full.
What’s Next?
As the legal proceedings continue, it’s clear that this split is far from amicable. From accusations of infidelity and abuse to court-ordered distance and custody of rescue dogs, the divorce between Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers is unraveling in very public — and very dramatic — fashion.
Stay tuned, because if history is any indicator, we haven’t heard the last of this high-profile breakup.
