Denise Richards Desperate to Save Her Low-Rated Show Amid Mounting Money Woes!
Denise Richards may be known for her glamorous life and no-holds-barred honesty, but her latest reality venture isn’t making the splash she hoped for.
According to a new report, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum is “scrambling” to save her Bravo reality series Denise Richards & Her Wild Things, which debuted earlier this year to lackluster ratings. The series promised an unfiltered look into her home life with husband Aaron Phypers and daughters Sami and Lola, as well as appearances from her ex-husband Charlie Sheen and even pop-ins from fellow Bravo personalities like Erika Jayne.
“Denise had very high hopes for this show,” a source told In Touch.
“She genuinely thought people would tune in because there has always been so much interest in her private life. She really can’t understand why viewers haven’t flocked to the show. Denise thought it was going to be a slam dunk.”
When the trailer dropped in February, there was buzz around Denise’s candid commentary — from chatting about her past with Charlie to revealing her and Aaron’s celebrity hall passes. (For the record, Denise’s is Brad Pitt. For Aaron, she joked it might be Top Chef star Brooke Williamson.)
Despite the juicy details, the numbers haven’t measured up. Since premiering in March, Denise Richards & Her Wild Things has failed to gain traction, currently ranking eighth among Bravo’s active shows. The lukewarm response has reportedly left Denise feeling disappointed and uncertain about a second season.
Beyond ratings concerns, the actress is allegedly facing mounting financial pressure. Rumors have long swirled that Denise joined OnlyFans in part due to the end of Charlie Sheen’s child support payments.
The source suggested that finances were also a factor in her decision to return to reality TV.
“Denise is worried because most reality TV shows don’t rake in the big bucks until the second or third season,” the insider shared, adding that the star was hoping this series would be a long-term success.
Fans online appear to be rooting for her, with many commenting on social media in support of a second season. But with the future of Denise Richards & Her Wild Things up in the air, it remains to be seen whether Bravo will give the show another shot.
For now, Denise is staying quiet about the numbers — but it’s clear she’s not ready to give up the spotlight just yet.
