Three American actors from the Riverid County tried to visit a federal detention center on Friday, but only one – the only Republican – was allowed – Enterprise reports.
Actors Jay Obernol, Raul Ruiz and Norma Torres, tried to enter the ice treatment center in Adelano, but not only Obernol, a Republican of Hesspia, allowed entry.
Ruiz, Torres, Democrats from Palm Desert and Ontario, respectively, were rejected.
Officials of the Ministry of Internal Security claimed that Obernolt made a previous notice of his visit while Ruiz and Soris did not, though this. Democrats published on social media Documenting their previous notice.
Obernol praised the conditions in the facility after his visit.
“It is clear to me that this facility is doing its work: ensuring the treatment of detainees in a humanitarian way – with access to medical care, legal representation and timely listening sessions – with ICE helping to implement our immigration laws,” He said on social media. “Adherence to the sovereignty of the law means the existence of a fair and effective system, and the Adelano Center plays a major role in this effort.”
In an email sent to the Press Corporation, Torres said it “provides a happy Ubernoliti Congress’ curse to visit the Adelento facility-but the Democrats deserve the same access.”
Torres said: “The Ministry of National Security is not above the law. Refusal to reach the Democrats is not only illegal – it is a serious abuse of power,” Torres said.
Federal officials questioned Torres’s claims.
“I attended Congress member Raul Ruiz and Congress member Norma Torres to visit the accredited MP Obernol; ignoring the directive in force regarding the visit of the ice facilities,” Ice said in a statement to the press entrance. “They were notified that ICE would be more than happy to absorb their visit – provided that it is scheduled to be according to the policy (internal security).”
