The defense was based in the second trial of Karen to his case on Wednesday and said that the reading was framing to kill her boyfriend in the Boston police.
Reading, 45, accused of fatal beating Okev with her SUVs and left him to die in snow outside the house of another officer when she fell at him at a party in January 2022 after the two were drinking. She was accused of second -class death, wrong killing and leaving the scene in Canton, outside Boston.
Prosecutors said that the reading had been intentionally struck Okiv with the sports facilities vehicle and left it to death. Read’s defense suggested that she was a large -scale conspiracy victim that included the implantation of evidence and the use of a redemption ram for the death of her boyfriend.

The defense was also in vain to try early in the second trial. The first reading trial ended in a trial for a pending jury. A second wrong trial attempt was based on the defense theory that Ociv was beaten inside the house in which the party fell, and that he was bitten by a family dog and then left it outside as part of a plot by the police that included the cultivation of evidence against reading.

The defense team for the second trial tried after the prosecution indicated that the dog’s DNA was not found in Okif. The defense said that there was no mention in the trial about the DNA and the dog’s bite, and he argued that raising the issue during the interrogation of Russell had spoiled the jury.
Supreme Court Judge Beverly Cannon said the trial could continue.
The defense also tried to show that the police were biased against reading from the beginning and wanted to prove Okiv’s death. Jonathan Diamandis, Michael Proutept’s friend, the main investigator in the reading case, asked the defense team to read the text messages that Brutemur sent to friends about the investigation.
Proctor was launched in March after a disciplinary council found that he sent sexual text messages and crude about reading his family and colleagues. His testimony played a major role in the first trial. Defense attorneys used his text messages to try to show that Protect was biased and ignored the possibility of other suspects.
The next big step in the case is to close the data on both sides. The case will then go to the jury.
