Dak Prescott Gets Down to Texas to Soak in the Full NASCAR Experience
Prescott had an eventful weekend. Accompanied by his Cowboys teammates, Dakoda Shepley, Will Grier, and Jake Ferguson, the 31-year-old QB attended the Würth 400 at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday, May 4.
While the field and fans were gearing up for the 267-lap intermediate track showdown, Prescott decided to let his arm loose and play some catch on pit road. NASCAR’s official broadcasting partner, Fox Sports, shared video of the moment online, where the quarterback was having a little fun, showing off a quick glimpse of his signature “hip-whip” warm-up.
Meanwhile, his teammate and Cowboys offensive lineman, Shepley, posted a photo with Ferguson and Prescott, posing for a photo with Richard Childress Racing’s No. 3 driver, Austin Dillon. This interaction highlighted the intersection of cultures, sharing enthusiasm for competitive excellence.
Well, the Cowboys are having a little break, enjoying some time off the field following a thrilling draft. In the first round, Jerry Jones’ team roped in offensive lineman Tyler Booker. Running backs Jaydon Blue and Phil Mafah were also drafted in what could be a strategic plan to support Prescott on the offense.
Prescott was also accompanied by his pregnant wife, Sarah Jane, at the Fort Worth event on Sunday. The QB shared a story post on his Instagram with a heartfelt message for his wife, “My crew chief,” while posing for a quick snap with Jane and her baby bump.
The power couple is expecting a second daughter, with Jane’s due date set for later this month, on May 22. The couple was first spotted in 2023, and ever since then, their relationship has grown immensely. Subsequently, they got engaged the following year in October, after they welcomed their first child, Margaret Jane Rose Prescott, in February 2024.
The 31-year-old quarterback who tore his hamstring last year, ending his 2024-25 campaign prematurely, is looking strong and showed off his movement skills, demonstrating his recovery for fans. Prescott suffered a partial avulsion of his hamstring, where the tendon partially tore off the bone.
In the meantime, reigning Cup Series champion Joey Logano registered his first win of the season at Texas, bringing up his 37th career win in NASCAR.
