A prisoner who is being sentenced to life imprisonment in a prison in California has been found for the previous conviction for death in his cell, and now his cell colleague faces potential charges for his death.
According to the Ministry of Reforms and Rehabilitation in California, at about 8 am on Monday, Michael Doss, 57, was found in his cell at the California Reform Institute, the Supermax Prison, which is located in Tehachapi.
Prison guards responded to Doss and his colleague in the cell immediately, Jake Rapper, 62.
Doss received first aid in the prison sorting area and his death was announced by a paramedic at about 8:45 am, and none of the employees was injured in the attack.
CDCR officials said Doss had “visual wounds”, but no weapon was recovered at the scene.
Raper has been placed in restriction housing while the investigation is still ongoing, and the movement was limited through the facility.
Raper was in CDCR reservation since September 2020, when he spent a life sentence with the possibility of conditional release after condemning the third strike by assaulting a fatal weapon. He may face additional fees after the investigation results.
Meanwhile, Doss in Los Angeles County was convicted of first -degree killing in 2010. He was serving his private life with the possibility of conditional release.
The two is one of more than 2,400 prisoners in CCI, the All-Male Institute includes guests of medium, high and maximum safety levels.
