Even with her new venture, Kyle’s support hasn’t wavered. Her energetic post quickly resonated with fans online and added another layer of excitement to Edmonton’s playoff run.
How Did McDavid Lead the Oilers to Victory?
McDavid, as he so often does, rose to the occasion in Game 5. He racked up a goal and an assist, lifting his series total to eight points.
His second-period goal came just after the Stars made it 3-2. He scooped up a loose puck, flew past Roope Hintz, and beat the goalie with a slick finish to restore the cushion.

It was a momentum-swinging play that reminded everyone why he’s the best in the world. The goal marked McDavid’s sixth of the playoffs and came at a crucial juncture when Dallas was threatening to mount a comeback.

Through 16 games this postseason, McDavid leads all scorers with 26 points. He’s been the driving force for Edmonton, which has now eliminated Dallas in back-to-back conference finals, last year in six games, this time in five.
The Oilers captain’s playoff performance ranks among the best in recent memory. His 26 points through 16 games puts him on pace to challenge some of the greatest postseason runs in NHL history. Wayne Gretzky holds the record with 47 points in 1985, and McDavid would need 22 more points to match that mark.
Now comes a rematch with the Florida Panthers, who edged the Oilers in seven games last season. This time, Edmonton owns home-ice advantage. The Finals will begin on Saturday, June 7, at Rogers Place in Edmonton, giving the Oilers a week to rest and prepare for their quest to end Canada’s Stanley Cup drought.
The last time the Oilers lifted the Cup? 1990. But with Connor McDavid in peak form and a city rallying behind him, that decades-long drought might finally be nearing its end.
