Community icon, the Hunt Store, destroyed in Kerr Co. flood

Hunt, Texas (KXAN) – The floods were destroyed on Independence Day historical works in the province of Kiir.

Hunt is not just a store. It is a restaurant. Place of music. The gathering place.

“We were here almost every day,” said Tyler Ward, a Hunt resident. “And if we are not, the children were begging in the back seat of the car to come here.”

Put the flower neighbor behind the caution tape.

Given this, the primary element of society is barely a framework for what it was before, but the spirit that it embodies is still in ingenuity.

“Broken, confused,” said, “broken, confused”, when describing how he felt to look at the damage. “But the third word is the most important, and this is hope.”

People rearrange the letters in the store’s signs to write “Hunt Strong”. A close friend of the owner put flowers behind the caution tape.

“This was the center of society,” said Doug Hill, who lost her waters in the flooding field. Although he was in the depths of this cleaning, he made it a point to stop at the Hunt Monday store.

Even in the absence of the store, people continued to pack the car park in the property. It has become a home base for things like food and water, or even just hug or a friendly conversation.
