Colorado Task Force One deploys to aid in flood, tornado recovery efforts in Tennessee and Kentucky

KDVR – Tennessee and Kentucky are to receive some help from Colorado this week as they recover from the harsh weather, including Tornados and large -scale floods.

The Colorado Labor Squad received the first post -publication call on Friday afternoon.

“We can theoretically be outside the door within two to three hours,” said Brian Dali, a workplace leader, said.

A rapid transformation for them, but Dali said they are always ready for situations such cases. They spent the afternoon quickly on the trip from 10 to 14 days to parts of Tennessee and Kentucky.

“It is an enormous opportunity, and a great honor,” said Dali. “I mean, we are training these things all the time.”

Daly said that they are traveling with half of her full crew, so about 45 people, but this does not mean that they worship the light.

“We have half of the employees who go, but we carry all our equipment,” he said.

Eleven vehicles, including boats to save floods, and everything from water safety to communications equipment.

“We are multi -use enough to cover most of all they can throw on us,” Dali said.

This is his fifth task as a workplace commander. He said that every trip brings back new experiences on how to serve the community here in Colorado better, but above all, the opportunity to help others is what is proud to respond to the call.

Dali said: “We go to these situations, and they are drowning.” “I mean, only through the fact that they called for help means that they need help, so that we can enter and a kind of calm to chaos.”

They expect to be on the road for about 15 hours before getting their duties in Tennessee on Saturday.
