Colorado State University Fort Collins holds first university-wide commencement in 27 years

Fort Collins, Colorado (KDVR)-for the first time in 27 years, Colorado State University, Fort Collins, suffers from the beginning of the university level, and CSU said it took some logistical planning.

On Friday, all spring graduates will walk across the stage at Canvas Stadium. The beginning of this university at the university level is what CSU said that students have requested for years, but nevertheless came some challenges and restrictions that have not been fulfilled.

For example, road closure, campus police, traffic attendance, and more surrounded CSU on Friday. Maya Ashbi and Beiton Ba, graduated from friends from different colleges excited to get a chance to walk together.

“I feel in good condition. I feel excited. A lot of school spirit. I think it will be fun to celebrate with everyone and see all my friends all together,” Ashbi said. “I’m tense, but it will be very fun. It is exciting to graduate with friends who are not in my college.” Pa said.

Nearly 5,000 graduates were stacked along with 30,000 attendees inside a fabric.

The feverish scenes are what CSU Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Kyle Henley, said they were planning and preparing.

“We do football games here seven times a year, where we have 40,000 people on the campus, so it is not very different from what we do in a football game. So it does not extend much,” Henley said.

Only six tickets were allocated, but students spoke to Fox31 they said they were not a problem participating with each other. CSU said it was the students who asked for this change, and they were happy to achieve this.

“It took about a year, and perhaps more than a year of planning to achieve all this. So, this is really the culmination of something that students are looking for, and the employees were looking for it, and we are pleased to be able to deliver it,” Henley said.

In addition to starting, over the past four days, 38 different celebrations have been held in recognition. Each of them was more intimate and happened with each individual college to compensate for the six max tickets for graduates.
