Chrisean Rock is speaking out after NLE Choppa made negative comments about her son, Chrisean Jr., during an online dispute involving her ex, Blueface.
During a recent interview with The Danza Project, Rock revealed that she and Choppa later addressed the situation through text messages.
Recounting what she wrote to NLE, she said,“I said speaking negative over a child is serious in God’s eyes. The scripture tells us life endeavor is over our tongue, the power of the tongue,and I won’t allow harmful words to be spoken over my son. I say if there’s an issue with Blue, bring it to him, but please remove my child from your speech and keep him covered, not curse.You have a platform. You’re being careless with it.”
Rock also addressed ongoing rumors about her son’s development.
“So I said my son does not have a disability. He is developing at his own pace and hitting his milestones in his own timing. Every child is different, and I’m confident in his growth.”
She added, “It’s like, if anyone, a doctor or whoever, speaks against your child or yourself, you don’t have to accept that. If they’re just guessing or assuming, no. The Word says what it says, and God says what He says. I don’t have to take on what you’re saying.
For me, it’s about protecting what I believe God revealed to me about my son.”
According to Rock, Choppa responded afterward with an apology.
“So then he said, ‘Thank you for the correction. Just wanted to send you sincere apology.’”
Choppa also issued a public apology during a March 9 livestream. During the broadcast, he acknowledged that his words crossed a line.
“I genuinely apologize for what I said about your beautiful baby boy,” he said at the time. “It was not right in no way, shape, or form, and I can’t believe I let my emotions get me that far. … You didn’t deserve that, your baby didn’t deserve it.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Rock opened up about defending her son from Blueface, who recently disowned Chrisean Jr.
“I felt like I’m Chrisean Jr.’s mother. I’m his protector. I’m the person that’s going to speak up for him. I’m the person that’s going to protect him. Who better?”
“And when he look back at it, he’s going to know someone was always there. Even against his daddy. The internet is forever. So yeah.”
Rock also accused Blueface of targeting their child publicly.
“But it’s like you over here making rap songs, calling him a dumb baby. And then you talking about his hair. So now you cyberbullying our kid. He can’t even defend himself.”
“I’ll be a weird mom, ignoring all the signs, all the red flags.”
