Cheyenne Mountain Zoo remembers 48-year-old gorilla, fifth oldest in US before passing

KDVR-The Shayan Mountain Zoo was saying goodbye to a long friend and familiar face, 48-year-old Gorilla Roxy, who was out of inflammation on Tuesday because of its effect on her health.

Roxy, which the zoo described as the “Gorilla icon”, was the fifth oldest Gorilla in the low -western lands in the United States and the third oldest female among species.

She was the oldest animal companion in the zoo and spent her entire life alongside generations of Gorilla friends, employees and visitors alike after they were born in the zoo in 1976, four years before CDs, Camlex and Nintendo Game Boy.

The Zoo said that Roxy had never had the opportunity to be a mother but became the ideal “wonderful aunt” that was an integral part of cohesion and raising the gorilla forces, whose type was at risk.

Roxy became a aunt for a 32 -year -old female, Ashha, and I would like to wrestle her and play with her when she was a child. She also became a 32 -year -old female column, who was transferred to the Shayan Mountain Zoo after her mother did not accept her at the age of eight months.

Her love for Asha was manifested in a new generation when she was able to love and play with the offspring of Asha, her daughter Tomani and her son Dembe, who was finally transferred to another association of the zoo and the approved zoo.

She also played the role of the match by helping to integrate Goma, which is the male silverback, in the forces. The zoo said that its quiet and gentle domination, but the respectable helped Goma learn how to interact with the other females of the forces, as well as allowing females to see them in a positive way with Goma to relieve fear.

“The first Gorilla we saw was the battle of Daghaga with Goma,” Ashton ASBRY said in a press statement. “Juma and Roxy participated in a special relationship. He gave him a blessing and deterred calmly with his natural shows, which helped the level of calm for the forces during some of these introductions, but it was also with other females to help him learn the borders.”

Roxy was known for her decorative nature, as she constantly hosted her forces behind her when trying to start playing. The zoo, even in old age, said, she was overcoming her chest, and she was confronted and excited when the guards trained with her.

“I am thinking about the change of her life and world over the years, and the extent of our profession in terms of animal care during Roxy’s life,” said Deby Fenton, the chief goalkeeper in the major world. Fenton worked with Roxy for 20 years. “We have learned that you can teach new education tactics in Gorilla and make things better together. I have become an expert in participating in her own care.”

The day Roxy passed a heavy day, not only for zoo staff but also for her forces as well.

Gorilla is very smart and social creatures that will feel the emptiness left by Roxy. After passing it, the guards brought Asha, Koisha and Juma to try to help them understand the absence of Roxy.

The guards said that they will closely watch the forces as they are adapting without Roxy, whose legacy will continue with the three forces.

The zoo said it wanted to oversee the audience with its legacy and the life of the endangered species by making visitors recycle small electronic devices in the Shayan Mountain Zoo.
