Chatfield State Park packed for Fourth of July celebrations

Littleton, COLO. (KDVR) – Chatfield State Park is always a crowded place for people to leave on July 4.

Friday, the garden is full of people. At one time earlier in the day, it has reached its full capacity, making it difficult for some people to find parking lots.

Almost all the many fox31 crew were on the garden officers standing in front of them showing signs that many parking were at full capacity.

Fox31 has seen people walking long and walking next to fast traffic just for a place. Many people have left scrambling, trying to know an alternative path.

Some people Fox31 said with them that they were in the park early at 8:30 am and had to wait an hour to reach the entertainment area.

Others say they had to walk long and walk for half an hour just to reach the water.

“I just moved here about six months ago, so I am new in the area. I was not sure whether I was able to find some chilling in water for a day like this, but it is clear that there are some options in the Denver region, so this is great.” “I went to Deer Creek first and then Cherry Creek. Both were at his energy. So this was my third choice.”

Emily Aldeen said: “We have stopped the way there and just pleased. We went to the bushes and everything to get here. He was also flowing and rain.

Fox31 communicate with Colorado Parks and wildlife to see if there is a response to any emergency situations and they did not hear immediately. The officers who watched the crowd told Fox31 that everything remained safe and peaceful.
