Caught on camera: Masked men use stolen welcome sign to hide theft of Pride flags

Fort Collins, Colorado (KDVR) – masked men using a stolen banner were arrested to prevent the stealing of many pride flags from the front squares of the Fort Collins neighborhood on the camera.

This was the first year in which Rebecca and Sarah Beck were stuck in their flags in front of their recent house. When they lived in Alabama, they say they will hang them all the time, without any problem.

Now, they feel the knowledge that someone has walked on their property and gets rid of their property.

When Sarah Beck was outside the grass early on Saturday morning, I noticed that something had stopped.

“Then I finished and I was like, waiting for a minute,” Sarah said. “What happened to our flags? Like all of them.”

The three disliked in the front courtyard of the couple disappeared, along with the welcoming mark drawn by hand to the couple.

“The entire operation took two weeks between the painting and drying. I will not be surprised if it took a month of work in all of this,” Sarah said. “I was more like, where they went … what happened. I was confused.”

When one of the neighbors showed a video of two convincing men, they seem to use the same mark to hide the theft that enables the neighbors to connect the points.

“It was a more shock, like this is our sign. It is very special,” Sarah said.

The couple also learned that other homes in the neighborhood were targeted.

“From what I understood, we all had something related to the pride that spoiled,” Sarah said. “One of the neighbors had a wreath of the pride that spoiled at their front door. I heard that other flags were also taken.”

Sarah says that she had reported the situation of the police, in the hope that someone would be able to identify the responsible people.

“What was so bad for you that you felt the need for personal property and took our purposes?” I asked Sarah.

Around the back on Monday, the couple replaced the stolen flag while recording a message to their front door.

“We will not be afraid of that,” Sarah said.

Sarah says that the mark that was stolen was emotional and strongly wanted. She wants to send a message to the community to be vigilant.

Meanwhile, if you can recognize people in the video, you are asked to contact the Fort Collins Police on 970-221-6540.
