Caroline Wozniacki’s Daughter Olivia Assumes a New Role During Family’s Fun Boat Ride Before Arrival of Baby No. 3

Caroline Wozniacki has maintained a strong presence on social media, something tennis fans are well aware of. Currently away from the tour due to pregnancy, the Dane regularly shares glimpses of her life online, especially cherished moments with her children.

She recently took her daughter Olivia and son James on a fun boat ride, where Olivia stepped into an exciting new role.

Wozniacki’s tennis journey has certainly featured some remarkable highs, including winning the 2018 Australian Open, reaching World No. 1, and capturing 30 tour titles. The Dane initially retired in 2020 following her Australian Open campaign but announced her comeback nearly three years later, in 2023.

The 35-year-old is married to NBA legend David Lee, and the couple often shares heartwarming moments from their lives on social media. They welcomed their daughter Olivia in June 2021 and their son James in October 2024. The family already enjoys plenty of joyful moments, and things became even more special when Wozniacki surprised fans in April by announcing that she and her husband are expecting their third child.

The Dane has been sidelined since the 2024 US Open and is currently on a pregnancy break. Despite being away from the court, she continues to keep fans updated on her life and recently shared adorable photos of James and Olivia enjoying a boat ride. Notably, her four-year-old daughter took on a charming new role during the outing.

“She is the captain now,” she captioned one of her Instagram stories.

As noted, Wozniacki last competed at the 2024 US Open, where she enjoyed a strong run by defeating Nao Hibino, Renata Zarazúa, and Jessika Ponchet in the first three rounds.

When Wozniacki Spoke About Balancing Motherhood With Professional Commitments

During her US Open campaign last year, Wozniacki explained that while marriage didn’t affect her tennis routine, having children brought a significant shift. She now values her time on tour more deeply and feels immense gratitude for both motherhood and tennis.

“Yeah, I think. I mean, you know, obviously marriage is a big deal and super happily married, but when you’re married, it doesn’t really change your preparation of how you prepare for practice or matches or days off, but having kids is a big difference. Obviously, you know, my kids are there every single day, and I really appreciate it. It’s the best job in the world, and I love it,” she said in her press conference.

However, the Dane maintained that she strives to be a fully present mother while also pursuing excellence in tennis.

“But also, you know, I try to make sure that I am still there as 100% present mom while I’m also trying to balance, you know, being the best tennis player that I possibly can be. I think that’s where sometimes it can get a little tricky. Obviously my family is the most important thing to me, but at the same time, I love winning,” she added.

Just as she appeared poised for another deep run at a hard-court Major, her campaign was halted in the fourth round by Brazil’s Beatriz Haddad Maia in a closely contested three-setter. The former Grand Slam champion’s hiatus has brought her down to No. 241 in the WTA rankings.
