Carlos Alcaraz won the 2025 US Open men’s singles title on Monday, beating Jannik Sinner in four sets. The Spaniard won the match 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 at Arthur Ashe Stadium. This victory gave him his sixth Grand Slam trophy and helped him regain the World No. 1 ranking for the first time since 2023.
Alcaraz’s family plays a huge role in his life and career. His father, a former tennis player and coach, was in his player’s box during the final, watching and supporting him alongside his older brother, Álvaro.
However, the absence of his other two siblings, Sergio and Jaime, was noticeable in the player’s box. Despite not being able to make it to New York City for the matchup, the two made sure to congratulate the 22-year-old on the remarkable win.
While Sergio shared a post from the ATP Tour with a hat emoji, Jaime expressed his affection by adding red hearts to his Instagram story.
Alcaraz’s brothers, 16-year-old Sergio and 14-year-old Jaime, are both active in sports. Sergio focuses on soccer while supporting Carlos, and Jaime competes in junior tennis tournaments.

The family’s support didn’t just end with social media posts. Alcaraz proudly thanked his family and coaching team, dedicating the US Open title and his other major milestones to their hard work.
“My team, my family, I’m lucky. I’m really lucky to have you guys to have you guys to be honest. The hard work that you’re making just to make me even better, not only in the professional part but personal part as well,” Alcaraz said during the post-match interview.
“I’m just really proud about the people I have around. Thank you very much. Every achievement that I’m having is because of you,” he added.
After their 15th tour-level clash against Sinner, Alcaraz now holds a dominant 10-5 lead in their head-to-head rivalry.
