Carlos Alcaraz Discloses Plans for a Special Tattoo After Australian Open

Carlos Alcaraz Reveals Tattoo He Is Going To Get To Commemorate Winning Australian Open

Alcaraz was the top seed at the 2026 Australian Open, and he defeated the fourth seed and 10-time Melbourne Major champion, Novak Djokovic, with a scoreline of 2-6, 6-2, 6-3, 7-5, claiming his first Australian Open title and his seventh Grand Slam title overall.

During the post-match press conference, when asked about the tattoo he would choose to commemorate his Australian Open victory, the world No. 1 revealed his plan to get a tattoo of a “little kangaroo.” He mentioned that he intends to place it on his leg, either next to his French Open tattoo or his Wimbledon tattoo.

“I’ve said it’s gonna be a kangaroo for sure, a little kangaroo. I don’t know where it’s gonna be. It’s gonna be in the leg for sure, but I don’t know if it will be the right or the left one.  So I got to choose a good spot, but it’s going to be for sure close to the French Open or Wimbledon [tattoo]. I just have to choose,” Alcaraz said.

On his way to the final of the 2026 Australian Open, Alcaraz defeated Adam Walton, Yannick Hanfmann, Corentin Moutet, Tommy Paul, Alex de Minaur, and Alexander Zverev.
