(Crohn) – A maintenance worker in Kaiser’s medical offices in Santa Rosa is recovered after he was dragged by several yards by a suspect on Friday afternoon, holding the driver’s door in his small truck.
The Santa Rosa Police Administration said that its officers arrived in the 3900 bloc from the old Redwood Highway at 1:30 pm to investigate a report on a stolen vehicle and a possible attack.
The victim told the police that his white truck was parked near the entrance to the Kaiser facility when the suspect jumped – later despite the video clip of Matthew Web, 41, from Clevardiel – to his truck and the engine began.
“To prevent the suspect from fleeing, the victim approached the driver and tried to remove the keys from ignition,” SRPD said in a statement to Kron4. “The suspect verbally threatened the victim, claiming that he had a firearm, and then accelerated the parking lot while the victim was still clinging to the driver from the door. The victim was dragged about 25 yards before falling on the ground.”
The victim was treated for moderate injuries in a local hospital. His current condition has not been detected by Santa Rosa PD.
Investigators said that the WEBB and the stolen truck are located soon by multiple law enforcement agencies – including the Hildespurg police, deputies of the Sonoma Sharif County Office and a helicopter – before driving the authorities in a hunt.
The police said: “Webb stopped the stolen car on a property and entered a different car,” the police said. “When deputies and officers tried to make a call, web escaped from the scene, and began chasing a vehicle across the city of Hildzorg. During the chase, web was deliberately hit a patrol car for a Hildesburg police officer.”
Police said that web was recently detained after he abandoned the car and tried to escape from the authorities. He faces many charges, including exit, assault with a fatal weapon on a peace officer, the felony of evasion, and the assault that caused a physical injury.
Despite arrest, this is still an active condition.
