Caitlin Clark didn’t need many words to let Lexie Hull know how she felt. On Sunday, Indiana Fever guard Lexie Hull shared a lighthearted Instagram post marking the midway point of the 2025 WNBA season. The caption read, “time flies when you’re having fun,” alongside a series of photos from Indiana’s year so far. One of the first to react was Clark.
The comment quickly made rounds online, with fans appreciating the wholesome support between the two backcourt teammates.
Lexie Hull Has Emerged as a Key Piece for Indiana
To Hull’s beautiful post, Clark commented, “So proud of u baby.” Hull has evolved into a steady contributor. The No. 6 overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft, she entered the league as a proven winner out of Stanford, where she won a national title in 2021 and made three All-Pac-12 teams.
This year, she’s averaging career highs across the board, 8.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.3 steals per game, while shooting 50% from beyond the arc. Her rise has been especially important with Clark missing multiple games due to injuries.
The Fever sit at 8-8 heading into a crucial stretch that includes matchups with the Minnesota Lynx, Las Vegas Aces, and Golden State Valkyries. They’ve already lost to each of those teams earlier this year.
Despite the inconsistency, Hull’s effort and production have remained steady. She’s earned more minutes and respect in the rotation, and she continues to contribute on both ends of the floor.
Teammates like Sophie Cunningham have also been vocal in their support. After Hull included a photo of herself getting hit in the face with a basketball in her Instagram post, Cunningham commented: “the last slide 😭😭😭😭 I can’t stop laughing fr.”

While Hull’s post offered a playful look inside the locker room, the weekend also saw a major on-court honor for Clark.
Clark was officially named captain for the 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game, leading all players in fan votes. The game is set to take place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on July 19. This marks her second consecutive All-Star appearance.
Hull also celebrated the announcement on her Instagram story, resharing the Fever’s post and writing, “yeahhhhh cait 🥳🥳🥳.”
Clark and Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier will draft teams for the All-Star Game, set for July 19 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Clark is averaging 18.2 points, 8.9 assists, and 5.0 rebounds this season.
