Cactus Jack's hosts benefit concert, silent auction for Evergreen High School after shooting

Denver (KDVR) – On Saturday, Denver hosted a party and auction for the benefit, raising money and awareness of mental health resources almost a month after shooting at Evergreen High School.

The Cactus Jack and Grill salon hosted this event, with many local teams during the afternoon until the evening. The focus was to make children help the mental health they need before and after the tragedy strikes.

The Director Veronica Webber was bombed by the support of people who have shown the latest donation effort for Cactus Jack.

“It takes it all as a whole to make a change,” Weber said.

The restaurant hosted a concert, with a handful of performances that donate performance time, including the Local Wrecklunds local band. The lead singer Brian Iclong was not surprised by the turnout.

“This is our society, and we take care of it,” Weber said.

Local companies donated dozens of elements to the silent auction as well. 100 % of the returns from today are now heading to a high -school green school, specifically for families affected by the shooting. It was originally assumed that the money would go to the kindness of the charity in Montrez as well, but Weber says they refused donations in favor of giving money directly to society.

“They focus on teaching children sympathy, respect, mercy and how to create a safe environment,” Weber said.

Their presence was still perceived in this event, though, the goods -ranging muddy schedule, Eklund hopes make a difference after shooting.

“Some other resources for children can be able to make people talk to them, talk to them and feel more comfortable,” said Eclong.

Weber hopes to change forward as well.

“We definitely want to focus on people who bring their aggression in the right way rather than wrong,” Weber said.
