The Bucs announced the themes for their 2025 season, which happens to be the 50th season of the franchise, on Tuesday. The game that every Bucs fan wants to know about is the creamsicle game – the week where the team dons its Bucco Bruce orange and white throwback uniforms.
Well, now that game has been revealed.
Tampa Bay will wear the throwback uniforms against Atlanta on Thursday Night Football on December 11, which happens to be Week 15. This is the first time the Bucs will be wearing the Bucco Bruce orange and white attire in primetime since the return of the creamsicles in 2009.
The last time the Bucs wore the creamsicles as their regular uniform was in 1996, and the last primetime game with the Bucco Bruce uniforms was at Denver in Week 3 versus John Elway and the Broncos. Tampa Bay lost a close one at Mile High Stadium, 27-23, on TNT’s Sunday Night Football.
Tampa Bay wore its creamsicle uniforms against Atlanta last year at home in Week 6, losing to the Falcons 31-26. The Bucs are 1-5 since bringing back their throwback uniforms in 2009, including five straight losses.
Tampa Bay also happened to be 0-5 in primetime last year, including last year’s 23-20 home playoff loss to the Commanders in the Wild Card round.
