This news comes on the heels of Tampa Bay hosting Iowa State’s Jaylin Noel and Texas’ Matthew Golden. Ayomanor marks the third receiver to visit Tampa Bay.
The Bucs are looking for another wide receiver to improve the depth at the position. Tampa Bay is expected to select another receiver in the 2025 draft after picking Jalen McMillan in the third round last year.

While the Bucs have brought in a couple of smaller playmakers at the receiver position in Iowa State’s Jaylin Noel and Texas’ Matthew Golden, both are under 6-feet tall. Stanford’s Elic Ayomanor is 6-foot-2, 206 pounds and is a true X (split end) receiver.
Ayomanor ran a 4.44 at the NFL Scouting Combine, which boosted his draft stock. He’s slated to be a Day 2 draft pick. In his first season at Stanford, Ayomanor caught 62 passes for 1,013 yards (16.3 avg.) and six touchdowns. Last year, the Cardinal offense slipped due to poor quarterback play and his numbers dipped. Ayomanor caught 63 passes for 831 yards (13.2 avg.) and six TDs.
Interestingly enough, Ayomanor did not interview with the Bucs at the Combine – either formally or informally. But perhaps the team was intrigued by his 40-yard time and his production and wanted to do its due diligence prior to the draft.
Ayomaor burst on to the scene in 2023 against Colorado when he repeatedly torched Buffaloes cornerback Travis Hunter while catching 13 receptions for 294 yards (22.6 avg.) and three touchdowns. After that game he racked five 100-yard games, including three in the 2024 season.
