Preparations for the Bucs’ 50th season are well underway now as the team has just finished up its first week of training camp. It won’t be long until the competition ramps up even more, as Tampa Bay hosts Tennessee for a joint practice next week before taking on the Titans a couple of days later in the preseason opener at Raymond James Stadium.
Of course, the Bucs have plenty in store for their fans over the course of this season to celebrate 50 years of football in Tampa Bay. The latest from the team was the start of its “best moments” bracket, which gives fans a chance to vote on the most meaningful moment in franchise history.
We have plenty of content here at Pewter Report in celebration of the team’s’ 50th season as well. This is a chronological journey that began back on July 3, and now we’re on to Part 5 of this 10-part series that leads all the way up to the first Thursday in September.
Last week, we covered games 16-20, which fell between 2000 and early 2003. We finished that video with the Bucs’ NFC Championship Game victory over the Eagles, so it should be no surprise that as the series rolls on this week with the next five games, we start with Super Bowl XXXVII. This week’s video then carries into the 2005 season.
