Bucks rescued after 'late-night showdown' lands them in home's basement gym

DENVER (KDVR) — Two bucks in Roxboro Park apparently took their sparring match a little too seriously and ended up going to the gym, literally, for a late-night session.

The bucks were heading toward 12:30 a.m. when they crashed into the home’s window well and fell into the basement gym, according to the British Daily Mail. West Metro Fire Rescue.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife sent two officers to collect the excited deer after it startled a homeowner.

Officers used tranquilizer guns to put the intruders to sleep, and West Metro firefighters used a MegaMover tarp stretcher to collect weights from a late-night gym session.

“We think bucks will think twice about their next late-night showdown,” West Metro said in a Facebook post.

CPW tags the bucks before releasing them as soon as they wake up.
